New Zealand Embassy & Mission to the European Union, Brussels, Belgium
The New Zealand Embassy and Mission to the European Union is charged with carrying out the New Zealand Government’s business with the European Union, NATO, Belgium, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Romania and Sweden.
The focus of the Embassy’s work is managing New Zealand’s political, economic, trade, security and other relations with the European Union and its four countries of accreditation. It also manages New Zealand’s security relationship with NATO.
The Embassy expresses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs voice loud and clear in regards to its three missions: building connections home and abroad, create opportunity and to encourage our culture, while holding the five values of professionalism, leadership, collaboration, respect and innovation at all times.
The Mission is staffed by a team of officers from the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) in Wellington, NZ Customs Service, Ministry of Science and Innovation, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, New Zealand Defence Force, as well as a team of locally engaged members of staff.
