Kea UK Sustainability Group

Mission
Contribute to the growth, development, and future prosperity of New Zealand by sharing knowledge, contacts and opportunities within the sustainability sector.

Group objectives

  • Targeted networking platform for specific sector
  • Break down barriers between understanding across regions e.g. standardisation of terminology and process
  • Trade leads
  • Skill transfer
  • Connection to the UK for NZ connected firms within the sector
  • Conduit for sector PR/information coming from NZ
  • Obtaining sources – members looking for products or sources of supply from New Zealand
  • Act as a sales and marketing channel for group members

Membership requirements

  • Individual Premium member of Kea
  • Actively involved in the sector
  • Committed to actively support the group and feed in  information/leads/updates

Group structure
Lead by steering committee of 6 representing different disciplines and skill sets within sector. Responsible for;

  • Organising quarterly meetings of the network
  • Passing on information and leads within the network
  • Supplying sustainability information that can be communicated to the larger network
  • Tapping in to individual networks to benefit the members of the group
  • Establishing project group for creative events
  • Potentially holding workshops for other group members

This group acts as a platform for finding and communicating with the global network and sustainability sector members and offer international opportunities

The Kea Sustainability Group is inclusive of all specialities in the sector including design, energy, cleantech, planning etc.
