Connect New Zealand with its large global talent community and contribute to the growth, development, and future prosperity of New Zealand by sharing knowledge, contacts and opportunities within the media sector.

Group objectives

• Targeted networking platform for members within the media industry
• Trade leads
• Connection to the UK for NZ connected firms within the sector
• Conduit for PR/information coming from NZ
• Obtaining sources – members looking for products or sources of supply from NZ
• Act as a sales and marketing channel for group members

Membership requirements

• Full member of Kea with profile on website
• Actively involved in the sector
• Committed to actively support the group and feed in  information/leads/updates

Group structure
Lead by steering committee of 6 representing different disciplines and skill sets within sector. Responsible for:

• Organising quarterly meetings of the network
• Passing on information and leads within the network
• Supplying media information that can be communicated to the larger network
• Tapping in to individual networks to benefit the members of the group
• Establishing project group for each quarterly media event
• Potentially hold workshops for other group members

The group acts as a platform for finding and communicating with the global network and media industry members and offer international opportunities.

The Kea UK Media Group is inclusive of all specialities in the sector including journalism, television, film, communications, production, marketing, media sales, management, new media or PR.

A regional sector group committee has been formed to manage direct communications to the group, a quarterly activity calendar including networking evenings and possible workshops.

The committee would also look to work alongside other relevant associations, corporations and organisations to help promote New Zealand sustainability developments offshore.
