Chris Anderson CA(NZ), CISA, CMC, CISSP is a Partner with Grant Thornton LLP, leading the GTA Business Risk Services Practice, and is also National Practice Leader for IT Services within the firm’s Specialty Advisory Services Practice. Chris came to Canada in 1986 for what was planned to be a 2 year work term with Clarkson Gordon (Ernst & Young), and joined Grant Thornton in 2003. In 1992, Chris married Lynda (a Canadian from Ottawa) and they have one son, Cole, in high school. In his minimal spare time, Chris enjoys skiing and American muscle cars. 


Catherine Braoudakis is originally from Welllington and after living in London, England, Montreal and Calgary in Canada she has made Toronto her home since 2000.  She is currently working for Goway, a leading North American company providing travel experiences to the South Pacific, Africa, Asia & Latin America.  Travel is her passion and she takes every opportunity to explore different parts of the world with her family whenever she can!



Rebecca Larsen
has interests that include nature hikes, mountain biking, camping, horses, art, travel and property investment. Rebecca grew up in the Manawatu, attended University in Wellington, and moved to Auckland before returning to Canada. Rebecca is a Senior Graphic Designer and has worked in a number of agencies in New Zealand and Canada as well as independently.



Stuart Mulcahy decided to settle in Toronto in 1985, after travelling the world. A New Zealand CA Stuart has held a number of senior finance executive positions in the Canadian Banking industry and is currently the CFO at Educators Financial Group. Stuart is married with 3 very active children involved in numerous sporting endeavours.

 

 

Alastair Patterson moved to Toronto with his Canadian fiancee at the end of 2007. He is currently the sole Canadian-based representative of Christchurch company Energy Mad, and enjoys mountain biking in the Don Valley to escape the city for a couple of hours. 
 

 



Richmond Sedcole is originally from Christchurch, has practiced graphic design for advertising agencies and brand strategy consultancies in the U.K. as well as operating his own freelance business in Canada. Currently he holds the position of Senior Graphic Designer for Manulife Financial’s Affinity Markets division. When not immersed in typography and colour palettes, Richmond is usually outdoors mountain biking, camping or competing in triathlons.  


 

Andrew Smyth has worked in the architectural field for approximately 20 years in New Zealand, the U.K. and Canada. Currently he holds the position of Senior Architectural Technologist for The Ventin Group Architects, a leading Toronto practice. Andrew has many other passions including being involved in his children's sports, travel, painting and spending time in cottage country during the summer. 

 
 

Ross Pinkerton was born in Christchurch and educated at Canterbury and Auckland Universities, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and holds the Cost Management Accountant (CMA) designation. His career experience includes accounting, manufacturing, marketing and general management roles with NZ and Australian public companies and a New Zealand government department. Ross introduced Expense Reduction Analysts to NZ before emigrating to Canada in 1998 to establish ERA Canada. Ross is married to Christine and is the proud father of Grace, Max and Alice. In his spare time Ross enjoys sport, blues music, and good company.
 

Sabrina Bernacchia has worked in the travel industry for more than 20 years. Currently she is the Eastern Canada Sales Manager for Air New Zealand. When not extolling the many virtues of New Zealand and the South Pacific, she enjoys spending time with her family and can be found relaxing in the great outdoors in cottage country.


Martin McSkimming was born in Invercargill and graduated from Otago University with a B Comm. He travelled to Canada in 1970. For the past 29 years Martin has been the Owner/Operator of Hemingways - a popular downunder-themed bar and restaurant located in Yorkville, in downtown Toronto. When not travelling or working he can be found skiing, playing squash, watching rugby or car racing.
