‘Big Data’ opens new-look National Library

A suitably immense subject is the opening public programme for the newly refurbished National Library building on Wellington’s Molesworth Street.

The Library reopened to the public this week after a three year closure to renovate and future-proof the building, which houses a vast catalogue of the nation’s treasures, including the billion-dollar collections of the Alexander Turnbull Library.

The Great New Zealand Muck In 2012

Living Legends is a community conservation project that was set up in 2011 to celebrate and leave a legacy of New Zealand’s hosting of Rugby World Cup. Last year Living Legends planted 83,000 trees. Each planting project is dedicated to a regional ‘Rugby Legend’ who was selected in 2011 by their provincial rugby union.
