About the author
Mary and her husband Charlie divide their time between Sumner, in Christchurch, and Aoraki/Mount Cook, where they own a guiding company and ‘The Old Mountaineers’, an historical mountaineering-themed restaurant and gallery. The couple have two treasured daughters. They have a varied life that includes adventures in the Southern Alps, working on their nearby farm and writing inspirational books.
