Kea Festival of Kiwi Short Films

Kea is proud to invite you to our third annual Kea Festival of Kiwi Short Films with the best wee films you hear so much about but never get to see.

The festival will show on the big screen in Sydney, Brisbane Canberra and Melbourne and, if demand is high, for the first time on the Gold Coast.

Each event will include drinks kindly provided by our partners Giesen and Steinlager Pure either before or after the screening.

The chosen films showcase the diversity and quality of New Zealand's film makers.  There's an amazing line up, and a goodie bag to match with treats from MiNDFOOD, Anathoth, Darrell Lea, GrainWaves and, in some states, the delectable Kohu Road icecream and Whitestone Cheese will be available for tasting before the screening.

Kea supports and embraces New Zealand achievements of all kinds.  Keep in touch with home, and show off your country to your Australian mates.  Don't miss the show.  The line up is as follows:

The Six Dollar Fifty Man
Written and directed by Mark Albiston & Louis Sutherland
Set in 1970s New Zealand, The Six Dollar Fifty Man follows Andy, a gutsy 8 year-old boy who is forced to break out of his make-believe superhero world to deal with playground bullies.

This is Her
Written by Kate McDermott and directed by Katie Wolfe
As she watches her younger self in the throes of childbirth, Evie's deliciously wry commentary reveals exactly what life has in store for her new baby daughter, her loving husband and the six-year-old 'b*tch" who will one day steal his affections and destroy Evie's life.

O Tamaiti
Written and directed by Sima Urale
The award-winning story of a young boy who plays guardian and protector to his siblings, but even all his efforts cannot prevent the death of the new baby.

Take 3
