Invitation: To attend or have representation at the Expo Central China 2010 on 26th -28th September 2010 at Nanchang, Jiangxi, CHINA.

Last week a delegation from the organising committee of the 5th Expo Central China addressed a breakfast seminar in Auckland by way of providing an introduction and back ground to this important annual event to be held in Nanchang, China.

Its main sponsor, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, brings together six hinterland provinces of central China with a combined population of over 360 million people. (a population larger than the USA)

The Expo objective is to accelerate the opening up of Central China and this event is the largest investment and trade exposition in the central region.

The theme of the major activities is promotion of a low carbon economy, alternative energy developments, and ecologically sensitive technologies. Over 7,000 projects will be promoted for potential investment, project matchmaking and trade and exhibition. 

The organising committee has generously extended an invitation to New Zealand business people to attend the 5th Expo Central China 2010.  In view of New Zealand’s closer economic ties (and Free Trade Agreement) with China, opportunities like this offer a positive way forward to establish a relationship to build future business.
